BKK Trip + Class Chalet!!

It has been nearing a month since I last updated my blog! Haha, like I've said before... I get lazy all the time..xD Anyway, its the holidays already and therefore there is nothing much to blog about because my weekly routine has been: work, sleep, nua.

But..... between the 8th and 10th, I went for my virgin trip to Bangkok, Thailand!!!! Together with Liyana, and Ms Choo, our former tuition teacher, and her 8 years old daughter! It will be way too wordy if I were to type out everything so I shall spam photos and add some notes here and there okay? Because a picture speaks a thousand words! Hahaha okay can cliche I know :P But of course, highlights will be wordyyyyy. Here goes ~~

For the 3D2N, we stayed at Baiyoke Boutique Hotel, the sister of the tallest hotel in Bangkok, Baiyoke Sky. xD

There was this corner at the lobby and Liyana and I self-claimed it as our very own living room LOL. So we spent a significant amount of time sitting there like a boss, stealing the wifi from the restaurant beside it, and playing pool which cost only 80cents per game >=)

We booked a morning flight so we reached BKK at about 10? Then we took the MRT, which is known as BTS, to our hotel. Unpacked, rest a little and headed to Chatuchak, one of the biggest weekend wholesale market!!

This is really similar to what Singapore's MRT has. But they also have one that looks like an arcade chip, really cool!

The wholesale market basically looks like a huge pasar malam, just that you can bargain like siao LOL. And in order to get the wholesale price, you gotta purchase at least 3 pieces. But some shops they allow you to get just 2 pieces, how good! 

We spent about 3 hours there and we only managed to cover like 1/6 of the area? So wasted!! After that we head back to the hotel via cab, rest again, and head down to the market just around the corner of our hotel (SUPER CONVENIENT). Then we settled our dinner at Platinum Mall, which is quite a distance from our hotel.

OH YA THE CABS IN BKK ARE PINK IN COLOUR OMG I CANNOT. And the meter fare is wayyyyyyy cheaper than in Singapore. I think our Government needs to think twice about raising fares AGAIN. We took from Chatuchak to our hotel, which is about the distance from Tampines to Bugis? And there where jams. FOR JUST $6. That is the fare from my house to school please.

In short, Day 1 was full of shopping and more shopping. I brought 8K+ Bahts and was left with only 2K+ Bahts at the end of the day -_- And on the last day I had no choice but to change another SGD$100 to Bahts... So I'm really kinda broke now *sobs*

~ DAY 2 & 3 ~

Okay, the reason why I categorized Day 2 and 3 together is because I can't really remember where we went on each respective days. Yes, I have very poor memory LOL. 

From what I remembered, we went to MBK, Platinum Mall (again, because its the nearest mall from our hotel), Siam Paragon, and of course the market around the hotel. But I kinda got the days messed up so yeah, just gonna share some highlights and more photos! xD

Introducing the best churros I've ever eaten in my life. Its so damn crispy and oh so nice!

Hehe.... on the last day Liyana and I went back to the parlour for a Fondue for 2 HAHAHAHA.

We also tried the legendary Mango Sticky Rice and I tell you, its SUPER YUMMY. The food court in Platinum also sells really awesome crepes. They might not look as appealing but the taste is total madness!!!

Here comes the highlight. On the last day, we literally walked about the whole area ourselves while Ms Choo and Celest went else where. We agreed on a meeting time and venue (Platinum again HAHA) before going on our own from the market. So Liyana and I shopped around the market area for clothes and stuff and 40 mins before the meeting time, we decided to start heading to Platinum. We walked and walked and walked and walked and we somehow............ got lost. So we started asking around in really bad English like: "Hello excuse me, Platinum.. where?" "Platinum, left? *points to left*" Blahblahblah and after 45 mins or so we managed to locate the mall. And we rewarded ourselves with McDonald's ice cream and fries :D

After we had our lunch, we decided to yet again go our own ways before meeting at the hotel lobby to do some last minute pack up before catching our flight. 

So Liyana and I walked around for quite some time and......... I decided to get a new luggage which I really love!! Hard case, bright yellow, 360degrees wheel. AWESOME. So I bought it for SGD$52 and we headed back to the hotel which I guess took us 25mins? We were actually running late so when we reached the lobby, we started doing some packing like transferring my items from Liyana's luggage to my new one cause I got too much stuffs. Then when I started setting the password for my luggage, TROUBLE CAME. I couldn't close the luggage, and when it finally closes, I couldn't open it up with the password I set nor with the universal 000. I PANICKED LIKE TOTALLY, we were really running late. And Ms Choo suddenly said: "No choice, you and Liyana gotta run back to the mall and ask the salesperson for help." I WAS LIKE WTH I HAVE TO CARRY THIS 24INCH LUGGAGE ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE MALL AND CARRY IT BACK AGAIN, BY RUNNING?!?!? But we had no choice but to do so. And so yeah we ran and jogged, and brisk walked, and ran again. The person couldn't unlock it and I eventually had to choose a new one, and hence got a Black one instead. SIGH MY FUNKY YELLOW. But thinking back, it was quite fun running like that.. it felt like it was some kind of mission. Haha Runningman maybe? Just that we looked like 2 teenagers running away after stealing a luggage....LOL. 

But this is by far one of the most unforgettable memory I have in BKK hahahaha. 

After that we took the BTS o the airport, checked in, ate our last meal in BKK, and headed back to Singapore :D

CLASS CHALET

Poly class chalet took place from the 11th to 13th! And yeah so I was away from home for nearing a week. HOW I MISSED MY BED AND PILLOWS. But it was ultimate fun, really. My cravings for BBQ food was satisfied, I bonded well with my classmates through poker card games, water bomb and even simple movie time while eating ramyun cooked by Nicole and Kaixin!

All in all, I really enjoyed myself in that whole week. It is my BEST week during the holidays so far and I hope more will come!! ^^ Love TG01 la <3

P/S: Sorry the structure of this post sucks to the max. The orientation of the photos sucks and I totally hate how there will be borders around EVERY SINGLE photo urgh and my sentences only contain parts and pieces cause really, MY MEMORY IS FAILING ME.

Self-proclaimed Holiday!

Hihi! I'm back after a week of disappearance ~~ xD

Finally! All the tests and projects are over (Except for the last on 2nd September)!! I'm so glad I was able to manage my time well enough, and I praise God for that too. †

IRM test was so-so, but am not confident in scoring well.. Can pass good enough (Y). And as for ITApps, it was way better than I expected! It was more of a speed test as the questions have already been given to us 2 weeks beforehand. We were given 20 mins for each component; MS Word, MS Powerpoint and MS Excel. Thought I would flunk for Excel but end up Powerpoint was the only one I didn't complete :/ Roughly calculated my scores based on my confidence level and whoooo I derived an estimated score of 41/50. Yayy!

Let me share with you guys something epic during the test. We were asked to download the data that we have to work on for the test and each document was locked with a password (just in case you didn't know you can lock your MS documents with a password.. yeah I didn't know LOL). It was to prevent any one of us from a false start. MS Word the teacher gave us the password which was 'tp123' (lame right I know), then for Powerpoint we all tried to 'hack' by typing 'tp456', 'tp321' etc etc. But we all failed and end up it was 'tp555' MAJOR L O L. Then for Excel, Ronnie (who was sitting beside me) and I tried again, and on my first attempt, I succeeded. TP999. HAHAHAHA. And Ronnie was like saying it across the lab "Eh guys, the password is TP999 ah." Then when the teacher wanted to yadayada the class was like "No need can start already we can access already." and the teacher's face was... meh. Hahahaha it was darnnnnn funnyy and epic xDDDD End of story.

After the test, I went to play Bowling and Pool (very first time in my life) with a portion of my classmates and it was fun! Then I rushed to work... #sadlife. 

This whole week is supposedly Study Week before the Exam period which lasts 2 weeks. But as I've said, I only have one paper to sit for so...... HERE COMES MY SELF-PROCLAIMED HOLIDAYYYY~~~~ But because I have SOOOOO MUCH time to prepare for my PStats paper.. there is absolutely no reason for me to just pass the paper, I need to score for it. Even if its not a full mark, I need at least 90%. So I must study hard!! -determined look on my face now- -actually no I'm just leaning against the bedboard typing like a boss-.

Okaaay I think that is all I have for now. I'm gonna go download new songs yayy ~~~ I'm very into Mandarin Pop again lately :') The singers and songs are just oh so perfect! I shall drown myself in the beautiful melodies and powerful vocals now so byeeeeeeeee~

Updates~

Eh yo hi there!

Its currently 12AM now as I'm typing my post. Another week has passed... it was a great week :') 

On Thursday, I went to Church for an event, Carnivallous, with Bohan and Wenfang! It was really really really fun; we played many games like the Human-style table soccer (I don't know what the actual was :/), Captain's Ball and many many more. That day when we sing and praise the Lord, the atmosphere was overwhelming and I love it. *inserts thousands and millions of hearts*

Then on Saturday, I got my new looks! For the first time after 8 years, I finally took the courage to chop off a significant amount of hair! The last was when I was in P3/4, whereby I had the legendary mushroom head... Since then, I learnt my lesson and kept my hair at a moderately long length. 

Mmhmm, my hair got chopped off and I think my hair roots cried blood.. that is why it became red....... HAH okay lame. Yeah, I dyed them red for the first time too. Thankfully, I LOVEEEEEEE the results. Even though my hair is naturally stubborn black, it still shows a really nice shade of red under the lights, so I'm very pleased with my attempt this time round :DDDD

Nah, here it is. TEEHEE.

I know it doesn't look red, neither is it THAT short but I like it so I guess that is what matters ~

Next up, the happenings today! Woke up at 11.45AM and prepared for work then blahblahblah photocopy worksheets, collect fees, update some stuffs and poooof, 3 hours passed. In between that, Wenfang bought KOI for me when she came for tuition! THANKS AH BOBOWU ;) We were like WhatsApping each other while I was downstairs and she was upstairs having tuition haha. Then the sudden wish for a movie came upon and so I told her, and she said OKAY. Er ya, basically she never says No. xD

Initially, we wanted to catch That Girl in Pinafore, but when we checked the timing and availability, only the first row was left so we were like meh........ So I headed back home first and Wenfang came too. Watched TV, eat etcetc then finally decided on R.I.P.D at 9.10PM. Can somebody say yayy? Yayy.

All in all, I enjoyed the whole week and it ended well too! But I dread the upcoming one....... Need to rush Psych group project on Monday (technically today), IRM test on Tuesday, Psych project submission on Wednesday, PStats assignment submission on Thursday, ITApps test on Friday. Hmm so I guess I won't be blogging for the week cause apparently I have no time to do so LOL.

BUSYYYYY ~

Hihi!

Realized I have not been blogging regularly and so I decided to come up with a really short post!

Basically, I've been kinda busy with schoolwork.. Because Sem Break is arrivingggggg!!!! And yes, I'm really excited because I can finally sleep eat sleep eat sleep eat sleep eat sleep eat sleep eat sleep eat. Wahahaha. Okay maybe sleep eat play. Mmhmm, best life. But then again.. no pain no gain, so its always busy before the break arrives............ I have a presentation to be done this Tuesday, speech due on Wednesday, and hell lots of tests and project submissions the following week... But THANK GOD, I only have one exam paper to sit for throughout the whole 2 weeks of sem exams. Which means my holiday starts right after that shit paper ends whooooo ~ So glad that this coming Thursday and Friday are PH so I can rest ~~~

Hmm will be mugging at SB again tonight to complete my speech and PStats assignment (HOPEFULLY). Then I've work tomorrow.. And yes!!! No school on Monday because its SDL heheeeeeeee. Happyme96 :P

Poly + Life Decision.

Hellooooo ~ The promised post is here! P/s: gonna be a relatively long post :O

Basically, I'm in Diploma of Psychology Studies under the School of Humanities and Social Science (HSS) and no, I cannot read your mind. We know what you're thinking or feeling by observing and understanding your behaviour. And ya la I'm not that advanced yet LOL. What I'm doing now is assuming, not interpreting HAHA.

The modules that I'm currently taking are; Foundation Psychology A, Principles of Statistics, Academic Writing, Public Speaking, Introductory Research Methods, and IT Applications. Actually the first 3 mentioned are very very similar to Biology, Math and English respectively. In PSpeak, its all about speech.. almost every week we have to do a speech and yeap, examinations are speech-based too. So if you're good at expressing yourself through words and body language, you sure can ace one. Sadly, I'm not very good sigh. Then IRM is about doing researches and ITApps is like learning how to use Microsoft etc. Damn boring hate them the most zzzzz.

School so far was not bad. Friendly classmates, new group of friends, interesting lecturers/tutors and care-person. The only thing I can't adapt to is the need for independence in learning... which I don't really have la.  I'm so used to having a teacher to chase after me for homework and there are things such as extra lesson to cover up topics or remedials. Whereas in Poly, its either you go look for the lecturers (who are usually busy), ask your friends, or study yourself. For the first, I find it kinda awkward. Second, I don't like to bomb a lot of questions to my friend lest they get annoyed :( Last, I can never do that without procrastinating and at the end of the day, nothing is done. 

Well, what is good is that the deadlines for the assignments are always widely spread out. Meaning I don't have to rush 3 assignments at one go, its always one at a time. But because I procrastinate a lot....... I end up rushing altogether LOL. Also, my time-table ain't tight as well :DDDDD 

Even though its all not too bad.... I feel that I'm not enjoying life in Poly as much as others are.. Frankly speaking, Psychology is not what I really love. :/ During the JAE period, I had a tough decision on the second choice because I knew my first choice (Meridian JC, cause at that time other JCs weren't 'appealing ' to me) will definitely be unsuccessful, I was 2 points away. So my second choice was crucial. I was contemplating between Biomedical Science and Psych, so I chose Psych in the end because I was kinda interested in it. After which I got the results, which is obviously Psych, I emailed to make an appeal to Biomedical Science because I regretted and thought Science was an area I could do better in. Waited for a month+ and a letter was sent to inform me that it was unsuccessful. How sad. 

So I had no choice but to move on. Went for the Freshmen Orientation and met new friends blahblahblah and school started not long after. Few days after the start of school, I received a phone call from idk where, the woman on the other side of the phone said that there was vacancy and asked if I still wanna appeal. DENGDENG, I SAID NO.She reconfirmed with me and I said, YEAH NO. The phone call lasted for only 2 minutes and yes I made the decision instantly. WHY WAS I BEING DECISIVE AT THE WRONG TIMING. Okay la at that time I already started school and was used to the HSS ambiance (HAHA) and the lectures kinda interest me so I thought I should just stay. Anyway, I already bought the textbooks and my relatives said I will have a good prospect in this course LOL. 

Currently, my interest for it is still at a moderate level of 70%. So not too bad la..

But the term tests results disappoint me so much that I want to quit school. It made me realize that maybe Psych is really not my type. Obviously I can't make the decision right now because I think its all too early. Just maybe, the holiday break was too long and my engine have yet to warm up hahaha. So it all depends on Sem test now. I will study harder and try to score well for it. If I don't, I guess this ain't for me.. At that time, I will quit school and perhaps study Music, or go through JAE 2014.

Hmmm, actually I would love to study Music but I like no talent leh. I'm only best at opening concert in the bathroom. Happens everyday, 20 mins before I officially start showering HAHA. But then again ah, if I really study that, NO TALENT + NO DIPLOMA CERT = GO FLY KITE. So maybe I might consider just chionging for 2.5 more years in Poly for a Diploma cert (everyone needs back-up one mah right). Then meanwhile I go learn musical instrument or take up vocal lessons. I think it sounds better, doesn't it?

Bad Dream.

I... I experienced consecutive bad dreams last night... And they are so scary I didn't dare fall asleep after that. Come let me share one of the them.

I was kidnapped by a man in a house and that man looked like my Dad but he wasn't my Dad and that house looked like my house but ain't my house. Oh, and my Bro was there too, not an accomplice but was on the same boat as I am. The thing is, he was VERY calm, just sitting on the couch staring into space. WHICH IS SO SCARY. Blahblahblah, I found myself ransacking the cupboards to look for evidence for idk what crime la. And I ended up finding a bottle of honey in the kitchen, my instinct told me that was the evidence. At that time, the man was standing by the kitchen window staring at me. And his facial expression made me double confirm that that was the evidence. I know la, sound very stupid right... a bottle of honey as evidence.. -.- But that was it. 

He started to walk towards me and again, my instinct told me he was gonna 杀人灭口. HE WAS GONNA KILL ME. And you know what? I TURNED TO THE TABLE, TASTED THE HONEY AND SAID OUT LOUD "MMMM, I CAN BAKE A CAKE WITH THIS HONEY LATER." So that the man will think that I still don't know that is the evidence. Don't ask me why, I have no idea why I said that. IT WAS A DREAM.

Then the dreadful thing came.. He just kept walking towards me, and I started moving backwards and ran to the couch where my Bro is and told him I was in danger. My Bro just kept staring in space as though he was hypnotized or something. Then the man used his hand and pressed on my knee cap, where the knee bone is la idk what that is called. Then he pressed even harder and harder, only using one hand, my bone started to dent inwards. Then I cried all that then I woke up. The end. 

Okay maybe when you guys read it doesn't sound scary but it really was D; After which I didn't dare to sleep because I was scared that somebody will come into my room to kill me zzzzzz.

Weekends.

Hihi! 

Right now its 5:34pm and I'm laying on the bed, blogging. Gonna hide myself in the room because my Bro's friend(s) is/will be here... Oh well, just hope that they will order delivery when they're hungry so I can kop wahaha. K la cannot because me is on diet. 

Okay back to the point of this entry.

As some may know (through Twitter), I joined Floorball as CCA in Poly. And today was the team selection for the upcoming POL-ITE and some other competitions idk. Obviously I didn't manage to get in.. I always know that I don't have that triple S; Speed, Stamina and Skills, which is like so important when playing Sports. Moreover, all the other Year 1s were experienced players so I knew my chance was like 0.0000001%. When I heard about it, I was still kinda disappointed but I have to accept the fact that I don't play well and am not selected. To think on the bright side, I no longer have to go school and Saturdays and can use the time to study. :)  BUT THEN, I WILL DEFINITELY TRY AGAIN NEXT YEAR. 

So to summarize my Saturday; Floorball > Home. Yeah I'm gonna just stay in bed from now on cause I'm really tired.. wanted to do my assignments but I guess imma just leave them till tomorrow LOLOL. 

As for tomorrow, other than dealing with those assignments... I've decided to go swimming in the morning wheeeeeeee ~ Then I've to work from 1pm to 5:30pm (gonna use this time to do assignment hoho). After which I think I will head home for dinz before going to SB to mug the whole night. 

5:51pm. I took 17 mins to type that little.. see how tired I am? Hahaha. Okay la actually I have nothing more to say already so bye bye!
